Neighborhood

Tucked in Northwest Denver, the Berkeley neighborhood is a charming and lively spot, close enough to downtown to be convenient but far enough away to feel like its own close-knit community. A fun local retail district is located on Tennyson Street between West 44th Avenue and West 38th Avenue. You’ll find a host of fun places to visit including restaurants, bars, coffee shops, artisanal store and boutiques! To the North: • Across 41st street is Green Dragon Dispensary. • One block to the north, there is a liquor store called Mountain View Liquor. Two blocks to the north is a 7-11 and Conoco. • 5 blocks to the north, on the east side of Sheridan is a huge off-leash dog park and on the west side is Lakeside, one of Denver’s oldest amusement parks. • You’re also a few blocks to I-70, which will take you directly downtown in under 10 minutes or to the mountains! Winter Park is about an hour away, Copper/Keystone/Breckenridge is 1.5 hours, and Vail is 2 hours. To the South: • One block to the south on the west side of Sheridan is a King Sooper’s grocery store, gas station, Papa John’s Pizza, Village Liquor, and a nail salon. • A five minute drive to the south starting at 24th and Sheridan, there is huge row of restaurants, a Starbucks, a Target, a Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, Sonic, Dunkin’ Donuts, Ace Hardware, CVS Pharmacy, Post Office, UPS and pretty much anything else you might need! • If you need a closer pharmacy, there is a CVS at 38th and Sheridan. To the East: • 8 blocks to the east is Tennyson Street, which is the heart of the popular Berkeley neighborhood. The streets are lined with cute boutiques, delicious restaurants, inviting cafes, and fun bars. The first Friday of every month, there is an art walk on Tennyson street full of enough galleries, studios and museums to satisfy the most voracious art lover and enough restaurants, food trucks, bars and breweries along the way to fill the hungriest belly!
